Grace’s Bakery is looking for a Sandwich Supervisor to lead our team! If you have experience in food production, enjoy leading from the front, and take pride in quality and efficiency, this could be the perfect role for you.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily production and packing of orders for wholesale customers and Grace's stores
- Supervising the sealing, labelling, and packing of sandwich products to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Leading the preparation of high volumes of sandwiches, toasties, rolls, hot dogs, and wraps to specification
- Managing and supporting team members on shift, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
- Allocating tasks and coordinating workflow to meet deadlines
- Monitoring team performance, maintaining consistent speed and high-quality output
- Ensuring strict adherence to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Taking responsibility for maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Supporting training and onboarding of new team members
- Maintaining flexibility to cover holidays, absences, and varying production demands
- Covering the Sandwich Manager in their absence
- Receiving and acting on sick notifications from the sandwich team in the Sandwich Manager’s absence
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within food production or a similar environment
- Is confident working on their feet in a fast‑paced setting
- Thrives in a busy, hands‑on team environment
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example
- Has excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Brings a positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
Hours and Pay:
- £13.20 per hour
- 5–6 days a week (up to 6 for holiday/sickness cover)
- 30–48 hours a week (up to 48 for holiday/sickness cover)
- Any day Sunday to Friday
- Shifts are variable between 8am and 11pm
- This role is ‘job and finish’, so shifts may end earlier or later depending on order volume
