Grace to Grace International Centre is a UK Registered Religious Charity that exists to benefit the residents of Dagenham and the surrounding neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, or political, religious or other opinions. We work by associating together with residents, local authorities, voluntary organisations, and other partners in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the community.
The organisation operates viable Community Foodbanks that primarily serve unemployed, homeless, destitute, and low-income families. Our motto is: Fighting food poverty, providing essentials, and reducing food waste.
Job Summary
We are looking for dedicated Charity Workers/Volunteers to support us with the pick-up and deliveries of essential items, food parcels, and groceries from various warehouses and retailers/companies to our main site in Dagenham.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support drivers in picking up essentials, food parcels, and groceries from different warehouses and retailers for delivery to the main site.
- Assist in sorting food parcels, groceries, frozen, chilled, bakery, and clothing materials for community service users.
- Provide support during community outreaches.
- Assist with the distribution of articles, leaflets, tracts, and evangelism materials.
- Support with arranging halls, event centres, and places of worship for programmes.
