Due to internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) on behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable care provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within a nursing home setting.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the home operates in line with regulatory standards while maintaining a compassionate and safe environment for residents. The successful Deputy Manager will provide strong clinical leadership, supporting and developing the nursing and care teams to deliver outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
- Act as Deputy Manager in overseeing clinical governance and compliance with CQC standards
- Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing and care staff
- Conduct clinical audits and ensure continuous quality improvement
- Review, update, and implement person-centred care plans
- Oversee safe medication management and accurate record keeping
- Carry out pre-admission and ongoing resident assessments
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies
- Take full responsibility for the home in the absence of the Home Manager
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- NMC registered nurse (essential)
- Relevant clinical experience in a nursing home environment
