Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse with experience of leading a team in a care setting? Do you have the confidence and compassion to guide a service while remaining hands-on in delivering high-quality care?
My client is a values-led organisation committed to supporting people to live fulfilling lives, and we are now looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse Manager to lead a small 14 bed service in Leicester providing care for clients with complex care needs.
The role is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the care home supported by a deputy manager and a committed team of carers supporting people with mental health and complex care needs on a 2 to 1 basis and associated conditions. Alongside managing the service, you will remain involved in direct care, setting the standard for quality and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the daily operations of the service, ensuring safe and effective care
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements
- Support, supervise and develop staff to deliver consistent standards
- Provide hands-on nursing care and act as a role model to the team
- Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals
- Identify and introduce improvements to enhance the service
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willing to work towards)
- Experience of leading a team within a similar care environment
- A calm, adaptable and supportive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and improving services
