SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Displays compliance with Federal, State, and local agencies as well as industry organizations, agencies, and partners.
• Provide direct resident care, performing basic nursing skills as assigned in accordance with current aide training curriculum.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Identify special resident problems, safety hazards, and emergency situations and report them immediately to the Unit Manager/Shift Supervisor.
• Review Care Plans and perform the nursing care as outlined. Participate in resident care conferences, and assist in the revision of the plan of care when appropriate.
• Document accurately in Point Click Care and accurately complete Resident care forms.
• Follow process for admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Assist in the delivery of Restorative Nursing Process in accordance with procedures.
• Adhere to all infection control procedures and processes.
• Participate in the orientation of new CNAs.
• Serve on committees or special projects as directed by the Unit Manager/Shift Supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Unit Manager/Shift Supervisor, ADON, and DON.
• Adhere to the Values and Expectations statement and element of the compliance program.
• Adhere to the Organizations Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Possess the ability to follow directives and work with an attitude of cooperation and a willingness to learn.
• Possess the ability to deliver quality customer service in a positive and respectful manner.
• Possess the desire to care for the elderly.
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with residents, family members, and fellow team members.
• Possess the ability to obtain proficiency with newly acquired skills and procedures.
• Possess the ability to follow directives.
• Possess the ability to prioritize tasks according to resident needs.
• Attend meetings and complete Relias in-services as required.

Position Requirements:

A graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide program is required. Current PA CNA license is required.
