Grace & Goodwill is expanding its nationwide network of experienced, compassionate self-employed live-in carers for placement opportunities with individuals and families across the UK.
We welcome carers with a broad range of experience and are particularly interested in hearing from those with experience supporting individuals with complex care needs, spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, physical disabilities, mobility needs, dementia and other specialist support requirements.
We are looking for carers who are passionate about helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes while respecting their individual choices, routines and way of life.
Live-in care opportunities may include supporting older adults, younger adults with disabilities, people living with dementia, individuals returning home following a hospital stay, and people with complex or long-term support needs.
What you may support with:
- Personal care and daily routines
- Medication support, where appropriate
- Mobility and moving and handling
- Companionship and emotional support
- Household tasks
- Shopping and appointments
- Supporting independence, interests and community involvement
- Support relating to an individual’s specific disability or condition, within your experience, competence and the requirements of the individual placement
We particularly welcome experience in areas including:
- Spinal cord injury
- Acquired brain injury
- Physical disabilities and mobility needs
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
- Hospital discharge and rehabilitation support
What we’re looking for:
- Live-in care experience is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete the appropriate DBS process
- Relevant and up-to-date care training
- Satisfactory references and a verifiable work history
- Good spoken and written English
- Professionalism, reliability and strong communication skills
- Confidence working independently within an agreed placement
Working with Grace & Goodwill
Carers can create a profile showcasing their experience, skills, interests and availability, helping individuals and families consider carers who may suit their needs and preferences.
Carers receive weekly payment for completed placements, alongside a weekly food allowance and agreed travel costs to and from the placement.
Suitable placement opportunities can then be considered by carers, who remain free to apply for, accept or decline opportunities according to their own availability and circumstances.
