We are looking for an experienced Property Loss Adjuster to join a well‑established loss adjusting firm. The role involves handling a mix of commercial and domestic property claims, including larger and more complex losses. You will manage your own caseload from first notification through to final settlement, covering the South Coast or West London area.
Key responsibilities:
- Attending site visits to assess damage, identify cause of loss, and scope required repairs
- Carrying out detailed investigations, reviewing policy cover, and assessing liability where required
- Managing claims from start to finish, ensuring key stages, SLAs, and client expectations are met
- Preparing clear and accurate reports for insurers, including updates, recommendations, and reserves
- Managing communication with clients, brokers, contractors, and other key stakeholders
- Appointing and coordinating specialists such as surveyors, engineers, and contractors
- Reviewing repair schedules, tenders, and costings to ensure accuracy and value
- Monitoring repair works to ensure they are completed to the agreed standard and timeframe
- Identifying and managing issues or disputes as they arise
- Negotiating fair settlements in line with policy terms
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulations
Typical working pattern:
This is mainly a field‑based role, with regular site visits across your region. You will also work from home to complete reports, review policy information, and progress claims. Occasional office days will be required for meetings and technical support. The role offers flexibility to manage your own diary, with strong support from the wider team.
