We are looking for a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead our health, safety and sustainability agenda for 37.5 hours per week. Working closely with managers across the charity, the role will ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, promote a positive culture of safety and well-being, and drive initiatives that reduce environmental impact and support our commitment to social responsibility.

The role will oversee a Grace-Eyre Health & Safety process aligned with health and safety best practice and to ensure compliance with all relevant, HSE Health & Safety related Care Quality Commission requirements. This will include proving expert advice and support to managers on Health & Safety practices, maintain policies and risk assessments processes to ensure compliance, monitor accidents and incidents and carrying out internal audits on Grace Eyre services and properties. Sustainability responsibilities include delivering the organisations sustainability strategy and action plan and promoting sustainable working practices across the organisation through engagement and awareness activities.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and IOSH qualification with extensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in the Social Care / Charity Sector. An extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management and sustainability or environmental strategies and best practice is essential as is experience and knowledge of leading sustainability or environmental initiatives.
