Art Technician to join our vibrant and creative Art Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting practical learning, maintaining high-quality creative spaces, and helping students bring their artistic ideas to life.
About The Role
As our Art Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Art and Photography departments. You will:
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for lessons, demonstrations, and practical workshops.
- Maintain and organise art classrooms, specialist equipment, and storage areas.
- Support staff and students with ceramics, sculpture, glazing, firing, printing, and other practical processes.
- Manage stock levels, carry out inventory checks, and ensure resources are replenished efficiently.
- Oversee the safe use of equipment, conduct regular safety checks, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with the presentation, framing, installation, and deinstallation of student artwork for displays and exhibitions.
- Provide technical support in Photography, including camera maintenance, darkroom processes, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
