This is a hybrid role which will combine remote working with site presence in client projects.
This role is specifically for project professionals who are experienced in the Transmission and Distribution sector in the UK, preferably working on the developer/operator side, although experience working as principal contractor will also be considered. The person will have built a demonstrable reputation in the sector making past colleagues/stakeholders keen to work with them again.
You will lead the delivery of engagements, considered as a sector SME, at times leading and mentoring other team members to develop their sector capabilities and knowledge. You will also serve clients in some of Laminar's core disciplines such as planning and project controls.

- Own the project plan for one or more projects and ensure that the project is working to it effectively.
- Provide simple actionable reports to stakeholders at all levels that help them deliver their part of the project more efficiently and effectively.
- Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team.
- Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally.
- Ensure delays are mitigated and managed commercially.
You are an experienced project manager in construction project management with a minimum of 7 years' experience working on UK transmission and distribution projects with a good level of understanding of sector-specific requirements.
Must-Have:
- Construction engineering background with experience on construction projects.
- Proficient communicator in written and verbal English.
- A track record of making projects and organisations better beyond just doing the basics.
Nice to Have:
- Decent Excel skills and a strong interest in data.
- The charisma, influence and presence to get construction people to do new things.
- A proven leader/coach/developer of teams.
