We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Developer Tools team at Figma. This team is building solutions targeting mainly frontend and full stack developers, helping them bring products from idea to production faster than ever. You’ll also be responsible for helping define the future of our developer offering, very likely helping incubate and lead new product development. Developer tools is a major initiative at Figma and is spearheaded from the London office. You’ll be working on one of the most exciting areas within Figma incorporating design thinking, the latest AI developments, and open source developer tooling.
This is a full time role that can be held from our London hub or remotely in the UK.
- Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Figma’s developer offerings.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions.
- Recruit, mentor and retain high performing engineers (and help with other cross functional roles).
- You’ll foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and taking calculated risks.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users.
- A proven track record of building products (both as a manager and individual contributor) that are best in class in user experience.
- A relentless focus on business impact through product & engineering excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team.
- Experience building large scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby.
- Experience building & maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers.
