Robertson Bell is partnering with a values-led international charity to recruit an Interim Part-Time Finance Director for a six-month assignment.
Working two to three days per week, this role will lead a small, capable finance team, providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring robust reporting and compliance.
The organisation is based in Central London, with infrequent travel to the office required.
Key responsibilities include
- Finalising the year-end audit, including resolving outstanding audit queries and contributing to the Trustees' Annual Report.
- Oversight of the monthly reporting cycle, including review and completion of management accounts.
- Ownership of the mid-year forecasting process, and partnering across the organisation to maintain strong budgeting and financial planning.
- Providing assurance around risk and compliance, ensuring financial policies and procedures meet required standards.
- Leading and motivating the finance team, supporting structure and capacity planning in the short term.
The successful candidate will be
- A chartered accountant with experience in the charity sector, ideally within an international context.
- Knowledgeable in charity accounting, including restricted funding and risk/compliance frameworks.
- Experienced in leading audits, managing finance teams, and working closely with SMTs and Boards.
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
- Available at short notice.
