Course Developer & Skills Coach – Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner (Level 4 Apprenticeship)
Full Time | Remote (UK – must live within a reasonable commute of London for occasional in-person days)
Salary: £33,000–£37,500 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

As we expand our apprenticeship provision, we're recruiting a Course Developer & Skills Coach to shape and deliver our Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner (ST0749) programme. This is a unique opportunity to combine curriculum design, digital learning innovation, and one‐to‐one coaching to help learners become confident, capable CR&S practitioners.

Course Developer & Skills Coach - Key Responsibilities
- Design an engaging, future‐focused sustainability curriculum
- Lead the creation of the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner (ST0749) apprenticeship curriculum
- Develop clear, accessible learning content that brings ESG, ethical governance, sustainability strategy, and stakeholder engagement to life
- Work with our Curriculum Innovation Manager and Digital Team to build high‐quality digital learning assets, case studies, and scenario‐based activities
- Ensure all materials reflect current legislation, industry standards, and emerging sustainability trends
- Deliver high‐quality teaching and group learning
- Facilitate online workshops and webinars that help learners apply sustainability concepts to real organisational challenges
- Create inclusive, psychologically safe learning environments that encourage reflection, systems thinking, and critical analysis
- Adapt delivery to suit learners from a wide range of industries and levels of experience
- Coach and support learners throughout their apprenticeship
- Provide personalised one‐to‐one coaching that builds confidence, motivation, and professional identity as CR&S practitioners
- Develop individual learning plans that integrate on‐the‐job and off‐the‐job learning
- Conduct monthly coaching sessions and regular tripartite reviews with learners and line managers
- Support learners to prepare for end‐point assessment through structured practice and targeted feedback
- Monitor progress and ensure a high‐quality learner experience
- Track learner progress using internal systems, taking timely action to keep learners on track
- Maintain accurate, same‐day records and ensure learners meet off‐the‐job requirements
- Identify learners at risk of falling behind and implement tailored re‐engagement strategies
- Collaborate and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work closely with Curriculum, Digital, and Operations colleagues to deliver a seamless learner journey
- Participate in standardisation meetings and share insights to strengthen curriculum and coaching practice
- Engage in ongoing professional development across sustainability, ESG, coaching, and digital learning
Course Developer & Skills Coach - Experience & Qualifications
Essential- Occupational competence in Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, ESG, or Responsible Business practice
- Qualified to the level of delivery (or able to demonstrate equivalent professional expertise)
- Experience designing curriculum, training materials, or learning content
- Experience coaching or mentoring professionals, ideally including senior stakeholders
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of:
- ESG frameworks
- Sustainability strategy
- Ethical governance
- Stakeholder engagement
- Behaviour change
- Environmental and social impact
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship‐building skills
- Minimum GCSE A*–C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Teaching qualification (AET, DET, PGCE) or professional body membership
- Experience delivering apprenticeship standards or professional development programmes
- Qualifications in teaching, learning, assessment, or internal verification
- Experience working with digital learning tools or virtual learning environments
