Purpose of the role
To assist with the delivery of the waste operations and treatment services through the management, supervision and administration of various contracts.
To assist with key data management and data reporting, budget monitoring and forecasting, along with management of the weighbridge systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Material Sales Manager in all aspects of material offtake contract management arranging for the safe and cost-effective transfer and treatment of wastes
- Assisting with contractor monitoring and management, processing of contract and other payments, recording and manipulation of data.
- Continuous updates and records maintained across all site weighbridges on internal system (Weightron)
- Assist in the management and control of the weighbridge system, including monitoring of waste flows, data interrogation and manipulation, reporting, database administration, financial reconciliation, customer and user management.
- Assist with key data management to include the collation and interrogation of data from internal and external sources, forecasting, data manipulation and presentation of data.
- Assist in the preparation and production of waste contract documents and specifications, selection of tenderers, tender invitation and evaluation.
- Assist in the sale and supply of materials, including market analysis and monitoring, engaging the market for prices, arranging collections, administering payments, general record keeping and administration.
- Assist with budget monitoring, control and forecasting.
- Keep abreast of waste management legislation
- Deputise for Materials Sales Manager as required.
- Regular Duty of Care visits to our material processors are completed in accordance with our BMS (Business Management System)
Essential Requirements for the Role
- Minimum of 3 years contract management and contract administration experience
- A degree or equivalent experience
- A full UK driving license
- Knowledge and experience in weighbridge applications to include data base management, user access control, billing functions, reporting and analysis
- Experience of contract management in a waste environment
- Knowledge of relevant waste legislation
- Ability to analyse complex information and present it logically
- Excellent data interrogation skills
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Able to liaise and work with multi-disciplinary teams, colleagues and stakeholders
- Numerate, computer literate and excellent attention to detail, with practical experience of Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and Excel
- Able to pick up on systems management is critical in this role
