At Deblock, we are building the first bank onchain: simple, non-custodial, and human.

We are looking for our Mid Product Owner for our next Tax Product.

The person who will shape and deliver a best-in-class crypto tax experience for our users.

This isn't a role for someone who just writes user stories; it's for a legally sharp, product-minded builder.

You will report directly to the Founders and Head of Product, acting as the bridge between complex French and European tax regulation and a product that makes compliance feel effortless.

You will own the Tax Product from discovery to delivery.

  • What we are looking for
  • The "Legal-Meets-Product" Profile: You are a qualified French corporate or tax lawyer (Master 2 / CAPA or equivalent) with c. 3–5 years of experience.

You may have started in a top-tier law firm or Big 4 tax practice, then moved closer to product and tech.

  • Product

Instincts: You have hands-on experience contributing to or owning a product – writing specs, prioritising backlogs, running sprints, or shipping features.

You understand what it means to build, not just advise.

  • French & EU Tax

Fluency: You have deep knowledge of French tax obligations related to digital assets (flat tax, IFI, plus-values, déclarations fiscales) and a solid grasp of the evolving EU regulatory landscape (DAC8, Mi CA implications).

  • Analytical Rigour: You don't just "have ideas" – you build decision trees, write clear PRDs, and back your recommendations with data and legal reasoning.
  • Bilingual Communication: You are fluent in French (native-level) and professional in English. You can translate dense tax regulation into plain language a user can understand.
  • What will make you stand out
  • Crypto-Native

Knowledge: You have already worked on crypto-tax topics – whether at a legaltech, a Web3 company, or advising crypto clients in practice.

You can explain the tax treatment of staking rewards at dinner without losing the table.

  • Product Delivery Track Record: You've shipped a feature or product end-to-end in a startup or scale-up environment, ideally in fintech or legaltech.
  • Regulatory Network: You have contacts within the French tax administration (DGFi P), AMF, or relevant professional bodies that could accelerate our compliance journey.
  • What you'll be working on
  • Tax
  • Product

Roadmap: Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Deblock's Tax Product – from transaction categorisation and capital-gains calculation to the generation of tax-ready reports (Cerfa 2086, etc.).

  • Regulatory

Translation: Monitor French and EU tax developments and translate them into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria that the engineering team can build against.

  • Cross-Functional

Collaboration: Work daily with Engineering, Design, Legal, and Compliance to prioritise, spec, and deliver features on time.

  • You're the connective tissue between "what the law says" and "what the user sees."
  • User Research & Testing: Talk to users, run beta tests, and iterate. Ensure the tax experience is not only legally accurate but genuinely intuitive.
  • Strategic

Partnerships: Identify and evaluate partnerships with tax-filing platforms, accounting software providers, or institutional tax advisors to extend the product's reach and credibility.

  • What you'll get
  • Competitive salary + stock options
  • Private dental + health insurance
  • The best tech for your job
  • 30 days of paid holidays (excl. bank holidays)

• Option to work 100% remotely or come to the office - your choice!

  • Ability to work abroad for 4 months a year
