The finance function is broken.

Finance teams today are expected to run global, real-time businesses using tools designed before their parents were born.

The dreaded ERP creates friction, workarounds, and an industry of patches around something fundamentally janky and ... dry.

Enter Light, the future and beating heart of the finance function.

We're building an AI-native financial platform designed for modern, tech-first companies.

It's fast to implement, even faster to love, deeply automated, and getting better the more you use it; we call it "organic software".

More on that in our manifesto.

We're a few months on from raising our $30m Series A, with great customers (like Legora, Lovable & Keyshot), and a team that cares deeply about doing this properly.

What's missing? You!

We're looking for a hungry and ambitious Marketing Coordinator to tell our story and help bring the future of the finance function to growing teams across the UK in the first instance, plus supporting with our global operation.

This is a role for someone who enjoys shaping narratives as much as executing ideas.

Someone who wants to help define a category, not just promote a product.

You'll sit close to the product, the founders, and our customers, helping translate a complex, powerful platform into something people understand, trust, and want to be part of.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Making Light the "new normal" finance platform for mid-market companies (50-500 person companies is the sweet spot).
  • Building out great WOW moments that delight our customers, prospects and peers.
  • Organising and hosting events across the UK, spreading the good word of Light locally and, overtime, across the world.
  • Building relationships with journalists, partners, and people who want to be close to what we're building.
  • Working closely with our product and design teams to turn product thinking into compelling stories.
  • Being part of a small, ambitious marketing team that moves quickly, experiments often, and learns by doing.
  • What we think* you'll need
  • A couple of years' experience within a B2B Saa S GTM role – events and field gigs are a bonus.
  • Deep curiosity about how AI is reshaping work, products, and companies.
  • A great storyteller – from video to text to meme.
  • Can-do, empathetic and collaborative spirit. No brilliant assholes here, please.
  • A willingness to win – and fail. We want you to try, take chances and learn by doing!
  • A passport. While the role is UK-centric, we're a fully global company. So, expect to be daring around to meet our teams in Copenhagen, Stockholm, New York and elsewhere.
  • The ability to start yesterday.
  • Practical experience using AI or emerging technology tools to improve productivity, insight, or decision-making, with the ability to apply first-principles thinking to new problems.

*But really, what do we know?

If the crux of the role sounds compelling to you – but you don't tick all the boxes – we'd love for you to still reach out and convince us you're the right person.

The good stuff

In addition to being part of a great team and working in a really fun and innovative environment, we offer:

A competitive salary + potential stock options

25 days of annual leave + public holidays in the country where you are based.

Regular socials and company off-sites (typically two a year)

The chance to help shape a category from the inside, not just market around it.

The famous last words

Working at Light means you're embarking on an exciting journey to reshape the future of multinational financial operations.

Our cheat-code is that we've built something like this before - and are now doing it again, only better.

Our goal is to make global finance effortless and empower companies to make informed decisions.
