About the Role & our client: As a Healthcare Assistant at Komplex Care, you'll be providing care and support to our client during the night, ensuring they are kept safe and comfortable.

  • Experience with children
  • Compassion, resilience and flexibility
  • Confidence in providing care to children with complex needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Support: Assist with suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration.
  • Health Monitoring: Support the child with responding appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Personal Care & Mobility: Assist with moving and handling and daily personal care routines.
  • Educational Support: Support the child's learning, development, and engagement within the classroom environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Skills & Qualities Required

Experience in medical or complex care for children

  • Knowledge of PEG
  • Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and therapeutic programmes

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or 3 NVQ/QCF in health care is desirable.
