As the Technical Event Project Manager, you will have experience in the design and project management of exhibition booths with a keen eye for detail and innovative solutions. You will be responsible for a range of activities to support the successful project management and delivery of exhibition booths at congresses for a variety of Clients. You will collaborate with and work alongside Account and Event Project Management team members to deliver projects on time, to scope and within budget. You will monitor progress, address delays, and keep Clients, project teams and suppliers informed.
We'll look to the Technical Event Project Manager for your technical expertise in the end-to-end production of exhibition booths in the life sciences industry. You will have worked with a variety of Pharmaceutical Clients and will have utilized your creative and technical skills to support the design and build of exhibition booths in congress halls across Europe.
You will be proficient at working with, leading, and directing suppliers. You will manage issue resolution, both during the planning and onsite delivery of exhibition booth build and execution. You will have knowledge and experience of services such as electrics, water, Wi-Fi, rigging, Audio / Visual, current and future technologies, along with a good understanding of the health and safety risk assessments to ensure all projects are delivered safely. From a quality perspective, you will maintain high standards by overseeing the production of key components ensuring the adherence to design specifications as essential.
This position is Client facing so you will have experience developing relationships, this includes anticipating their needs, proactively managing solutions, and acting as a conduit between a variety of stakeholders as a subject matter expert. You will have experience in working with Clients to bring to life their ideas by briefing in design concepts and working closely with suppliers on the technical aspects of booth build and execution.
This position is home based in collaboration with a global team at our client and with their clients and healthcare professionals.
Activities may include:
- Interacting and developing relationships with Clients on a regular basis to present design ideas and proposals
- Working with the Account Management Team to respond to Client briefs and RFPs
- Supporting the scoping of budgets to include hours and expenses applicable to booth design and build
- Working with venues to understand allocated spaces, limitations, and requirements for construction
- Briefing in and working with designers on technical drawings and plans
- Collaborating with Event Project Managers to ensure the procurement of assets and supplies to support the delivery of the booth
- Travelling onsite to oversee the build and project management of the booths
- Developing relationships with Suppliers and Vendors
This position will require international travel.

- Demonstratable knowledge of end-to-end exhibition booth build and design, considering venue limitations and optimal use of exhibition space

- Strong problem identification and solutioning ability, with core technical reasoning and subject matter expertise
- Awareness of the implications of deploying certain technologies and comprehension of the content creation process including general knowledge of associated software, file types, and timelines
- Previous experience of AV, sound design, and lighting preferable

- Bachelors Degree and or 5 years of industry related experience
