This Senior Management Accountant role offers far more than your standard MA position. It's a hands-on, high-impact opportunity to work across month-end, statutory reporting, forecasting and Power BI, and to make your mark in an evolving and progressive finance function.
The key duties of this Senior Management Accountant will be:
- Leading on monthly management accounts across multiple entities and producing narrative reports in collaboration with the FBP team
- Reviewing forecasts and budgets prepared by FBPs, ensuring accuracy and challenging assumptions before consolidation
- Overseeing VAT and CIS returns, ONS and regulatory submissions
- Authorising payment runs and bank line payments
- Maintaining and developing the chart of accounts and control processes
- Owning the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting templates – including Power BI model integrity and refreshes
- Managing one Assistant Accountant
- Policing and improving internal controls and cost centre/coding structure
You'll be pulling together insight from across the organisation and playing a key role in interpreting financials from a strategic lens. You'll work with a friendly, high-performing team who genuinely enjoy what they do, and you'll benefit from flexible, remote-first working with only occasional office visits (1–2 times per month, if that). The successful candidate will be:
- A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or finalist with a strong grounding in management accounting
- Experienced in housing sector finance
- Technically sharp, with excellent Excel skills and experience using (or adapting to) tools like Power BI
- Proactive, energetic, and able to drive efficiency in processes
- Comfortable getting stuck into detail, investigating variances, and liaising with colleagues across the business
