Here's what you'll do:

  • Environmental Permitting
    Deliver Environmental Permit applications, variations, transfers, and surrenders for a variety of clients across the UK and Ireland.
  • Environmental Assessment & Risk Management
    Conduct environmental risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and risks. Develop and implement mitigation measures and management plans to minimise impacts and enhance performance.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Advisory
    Advise clients on the implications of legislation, regulatory guidance, and Best Available Techniques (BAT). Ensure client compliance with relevant environmental legislation, best practice, and BAT standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
    Support clients in regulator and stakeholder engagement. Work collaboratively with EHS colleagues and the wider Environment team to deliver robust assessments.
  • Environmental Auditing
    Carry out environmental audits, including assessments of legal compliance.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Education
    A base first degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
  • Experience
    Demonstrable experience in an industrial or consultancy role. A strong track record in successfully delivering Environmental Permitting compliance services and preparing the associated documentation.
  • Technical Knowledge
    Extensive working knowledge of relevant UK National and European environmental legislation.
  • Skills
    Excellent report writing, technical reviewing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team across a range of projects, including those with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Attributes
    Proactive and positive attitude with strong team collaboration skills. Confident in liaising with colleagues, industrial clients, and regulators.
