Financial Accountant - 6 Month Contract Location: Cheshire/ Hybrid/ Remote

Accountable Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic international, PE-backed organisation seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant on a 6 month contract to help with their year end and audit.

Overview: This opportunity is perfect for a highly skilled and immediately available Financial Accountant who is eager to join a forward-thinking team.

With offices across trhe North West, this role can be office based, hybrid or potentially full time from home.

Salary/Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from £250 - 500 per day
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • 6 month contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Group Financial Controller with the month-end close process and production of monthly management account balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a robust financial control environment.
  • Prepare regulatory and other financial compliance returns, managing any related inquiries.
  • Handle routine tax compliance returns for VAT, including the weekly review of tax codes.
  • Support the preparation of year-end group accounts and the audit process.
  • Aid in the production of year-end group reporting.
  • Assist external auditors requests as needed.

Reporting Line: You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.

Ideal Candidate

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant
  • Proven experience in a year-end focused Financial Accountant role
  • Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling bulk data/system exports and utilising appropriate formulas.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within the business.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Highly organised, able to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet continual tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with external advisers is a plus.
