Here's what you'll do:
- Environmental Permitting
- Deliver Environmental Permit applications, variations, transfers, and surrenders for a variety of clients across the UK and Ireland.
- Environmental Assessment & Risk Management
- Conduct environmental risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and risks.
- Develop and implement mitigation measures and management plans to minimise impacts and enhance performance.
- Compliance & Regulatory Advisory
- Advise clients on the implications of legislation, regulatory guidance, and Best Available Techniques (BAT).
- Ensure client compliance with relevant environmental legislation, best practice, and BAT standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Support clients in regulator and stakeholder engagement.
- Work collaboratively with EHS colleagues and the wider Environment team to deliver robust assessments.
- Environmental Auditing
- Carry out environmental audits, including assessments of legal compliance.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Education
- A base first degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
- Experience
- Demonstrable experience in an industrial or consultancy role.
- A strong track record in successfully delivering Environmental Permitting compliance services and preparing the associated documentation.
- Technical Knowledge
- Extensive working knowledge of relevant UK National and European environmental legislation.
- Skills
- Excellent report writing, technical reviewing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team across a range of projects, including those with tight deadlines.
- Personal Attributes
- Proactive and positive attitude with strong team collaboration skills.
- Confident in liaising with colleagues, industrial clients, and regulators.
