SF Recruitment are recruiting for an Internal Sales Manager to work for our established manufacturing client based in Baldock. The role involves working in a small, fast-paced team environment to identify and acquire new business from international markets, selling existing and new products into new markets and industries where we do not currently operate to meet the budgeted sales revenue and profit targets agreed with the Global Sales Director.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting potential new customers to understand their process, manufacturing, sales channels, and end users.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through outbound and inbound lead generation activities, including cold calling and emails.
  • Following up on outbound cold calls, sales leads, and emails.
  • Preparing accurate, effective sales prices/quotations and sales orders before handing over to the sales order processor once PO has been received and checked carefully against quotes issued.
  • Updating and maintaining all sales activities undertaken within CRM systems, Excel spreadsheets, databases, call logs, enquiries & quotations.
  • Effective and transparent communication to relevant management and other relevant staff.
  • Building relationships with relevant machine manufacturers to promote products to OEMs for top line growth, gathering market information and sharing with the wider team.
  • Reporting weekly & monthly on all activity from yourself and your customers, sales progression, and the sales pipeline built.
  • Travelling where necessary to deliver the required results.
  • International travel may be required to meet clients or attend domestic and international trade shows.
  • Other languages in addition to English would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
  • Flexible and adaptable - able to cope with changing requirements and situations.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally at short notice if required.
