A long-established and highly regarded Oxfordshire law firm is seeking a qualified Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive to join its Lending & Finance Conveyancing team. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced legal professional with at least two years' experience in residential or commercial conveyancing to work with a stable, reputable firm that offers strong referral work and an excellent team environment.

The Role

  • You will act for lender clients across a wide range of property finance matters, including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Bridging loans, buy-to-let transactions and development lending
    • Re-mortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership
    • Title reviews, contract preparation and due diligence
    • Post-completion work and HM Land Registry compliance

The role involves close liaison with borrowers, solicitors, agents, asset managers and internal stakeholders and will involve working on the SOLCASE case management system.

Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive
  • A strong background in residential conveyancing, with exposure to commercial or lender-side work advantageous
  • Solid understanding of title checking, contract drafting and compliance processes
  • The ability to manage a caseload from instruction to post-completion with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

The Firm:

With a history spanning over 200 years, this 5-partner Oxfordshire law firm employs around 60 staff and enjoys a respected reputation across the region. Much of its work is generated through referral and repeat business from loyal clients, including first-time buyers through to major landowners and commercial investors. You will join a small, supportive conveyancing team, working alongside two other experienced lawyers and a dedicated secretary.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
