Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEN Commissioning Officer to support a local authority in South West England in planning, obtaining and monitoring high-quality services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Secure understanding of SEND legislation, including The Children and Families Act 2014 and The SEND Code of Practice (2015).
Proven experience of working within SEND for a Local Authority.
Ability to manage complex projects and prioritise competing demands.
Liaise with Headteachers and SEN Coordinators to resolve issues and ensure that providers meet each child's specialist SEND needs.
Prepare and present cases for meetings and be responsible for the implementation of follow up actions.
Able to work well collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
