Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team, where you will play a critical role in optimizing our cloud infrastructure to meet our customers' needs.
This position is pivotal to our mission of providing a seamless, secure, and scalable experience on our platform
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS cloud environments and services.
- Manage and prioritize tasks in the cloud infrastructure backlog to address immediate needs and plan long-term improvements.
- Set up infrastructure monitoring and observability solutions, proactively addressing availability, performance or security issues.
- Learn the current infrastructure and take ownership of day to day cloud operational tasks and activities.
- Assess new technologies, systems, and services for production readiness, ensuring seamless and stable integration.
- Prepare and maintain documentation on cloud processes, procedures, and architectures to ensure clear understanding and team-wide knowledge.
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to evaluate and optimize our current infrastructure.
- Contribute in out of office hour cloud deployments once or twice a month
- Conduct POCs (proof of concepts) on new AWS services, third-party tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure.
- A demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in a professional setting.
- Proficiency with core AWS services, including IAM, S3, KMS, RDS, VPC, ECS, EC2, and more.
- Experience working with multi-account and multi-region AWS production environment setups and using Iaa C to manage them.
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) tools, preferably Terraform.
- Scripting experience with one or more languages, such as Python, Bash, or Node. js.
- Good knowledge of cloud security principles and services, such as AWS WAF, Guard Duty, Config and Cloud Trail.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools preferably Git Lab
- Experience with software version control and Git.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, VPC Peering, Subnets, and Load Balancing.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for cloud environments, such as Grafana, Prometheus, Open Search, and the ELK stack.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- A genuine interest in staying updated with new AWS services and features, integrating advancements into the cloud environment.
- Ability to work well in a flexible, startup environment, taking initiative to establish new processes when necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Familiarity with industry best practices in cloud architecture principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Availability to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours.
