We are seeking a motivated andreliable Trainee Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity forsomeone looking to develop a career in roadworks, civil engineering, utility,and traffic management. You will work closely with experienced managers tolearn all aspects of road-works operations, including planning, coordination,safety compliance, and team supervision. You will also develop your skills inmanaging the day-to-day site activity to carry out the works to meetspecifications, budgets and timescales of various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery ofroadworks and traffic management projects
- Support site managers in coordinatingdaily operations on-site
- Ensure all works are carried out in linewith health and safety regulations
- Maintain quality control procedures
- Monitor workforce performance and providesupport where needed
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and subcontractors
- Help manage project schedules, materials, and equipment
- Conduct site inspections and ensurecompliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports ofsite activities including checking, preparing site reports, designs anddrawings
- Respond to any on-site issues oremergencies in a timely manner
Requirements
- Strong interest in utility, construction, civil engineering, or roadworks
- Good communication and organisationalskills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoorenvironment
- Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices (training will be provided)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- HGV and other machinery licence(preferred however, training provided, where required)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends,as required
Desirable (but notessential)
- Previous experience in utility work orroadworks
- Knowledge of traffic management systems
