G R Employment ltd are looking to recuit a Class 1 driver for one of our customers based in Dunstable LU 4TP LGV, as a driver you will be a frontline representative of the company, responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipments, You will be doing 1 delivery per day and 10 collections, the collections will need moving down the trailer by a pallet truck after being forklifed on by the cutomer., Complete daily vehicle safety checks, safe loading / securing load of vehicle, report maintenance defects, adhere to Tachograph & Working
Time Directive legislative / regulations and adherence to company driving standards, as per the initial driving assessment.
Complete scheduled deliveries and collections of shipments of a variety of weights
Sort and prioritise workload to ensure time commitments are met.
Accurately record working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations.
Safety and security: Adhere to country laws and regulations, company and third party rules and standards.
All employees are to bring any potential security breaches or concerns to the attention of their supervisors
We require you to have a Full UK driving license
A vaid in date Class 1 License with a digital tachograph card and a up to date CPC
Experience in a multi drop courier role (advantageous )
Experience in a frontline, customer facing role
Minimum of 2 years Professional driving experience due to insurance
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 18.00 with a 45 unpaid break, over time will be paid at £22.92 per hour after 40 hours, this is a temp to perm position., Statuary holiday entitlement, pro rata
