Job Description
Helping to Mentor and develop more junior engineers, as the business continues to grow.\\n\\n * Working alongside other Principal Engineers and Directors’, facing clients, responding to client needs, developing, and producing reports, specifications, undertaking site inspections and overseeing testing and commissioning activities, following legislation, standards and all health and safety, quality and environmental company policies and procedures.\\n\\n * To perform electrical engineering design and oversee and organise the work performed by others in your team.\\n\\n * To act as electrical discipline lead for projects and be responsible for the resourcing and quality of output produced for the project.\\n\\n * To provide technical leadership and support professional development of engineers within the electrical team.\\n\\n * To mentor more junior engineer and to ensure good engineering design delivery from drawing practices to document control and management.\\n\\n * To prepare and present designs, reports, calculations, and specifications.\\n\\n * To conduct technical review of projects.\\n\\n * Attending and/or arranging attendance to site, preparing clear and concise reports to summarise findings.\\n\\n * To support Directors in financial control of projects.\\n\\n * Travel and work flexible hours\\n\\nSkills and Experience Required\\n\\n * BEng or Meng., Chartered or working towards\\n\\n * Previous consultancy experience of a minimum of 5-7 years demonstrating a successful career trajectory over the years.\\n\\n * Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering\\n\\n * Ideally electrical design including administration, drawing and project document preparation (ability to do and also to delegate to others)\\n\\n * A good understanding of multi-disciplinary projects to coordinate/manage/undertake.\\n\\n * Experience of Site inspection, witness testing and supervision of contractors.\\n\\n * Ability to mentor and supervise graduates, engineers, and senior engineers.\\n\\n * Demonstrable track record of managing, leading and successfully delivering projects in an engineering design consultancy.\\n\\n * Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineering (MEP) and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.\\n\\n * Ideally, but not essential, proficiency in report and specification writing, calculations (Dialux, Relux, Amtech), AutoCAD, REVIT and/or Microstation and developing designs from first principles
