Job Specification Associate Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) Department Building Services / MEP Engineering Role Purpose The Associate Mechanical Design Engineer will support the delivery of high-quality mechanical building services design across a range of projects.
The role will involve developing mechanical designs from concept through to detailed design and construction, working collaboratively with clients, architects, developers, main contractors, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of building services engineering principles and be capable of taking responsibility for defined elements of projects, while continuing to develop their technical, managerial and commercial expertise.
Key Responsibilities Mechanical Design Develop mechanical building services designs in accordance with project requirements, relevant standards, regulations and best practice.
Undertake heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water, drainage and other mechanical services calculations and designs as appropriate.
Produce and review mechanical schematics, layouts, specifications, schedules and design calculations.
