Global Safety Officer

Location: Greater Boston (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite; relocation offered)

Overview:

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical organization, is seeking a dynamic Senior Medical Director to serve as Global Safety Officer for their Neuroscience portfolio. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead safety strategy for clinical and marketed products in a company undergoing positive organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive global safety strategy for assigned products.
• Advise on clinical protocol design, risk management, and regulatory filings.
• Author and oversee safety content for clinical and post-marketing documents.
• Lead benefit-risk evaluations and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Represent Drug Safety in cross-functional development and study teams.
• Serve as internal SME for pharmacovigilance standards, safety surveillance, and safety-related communications.

Requirements:

• MD or MD/PhD with 8+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance or clinical safety.
• Experience with both investigational and marketed products.
• Strong leadership, communication, and regulatory interaction skills.
• Background in Neuroscience, CNS, or related areas is preferred.
• Must have sponsor-side experience; CRO or academic profiles will not be considered.

Compensation:

Base salary between $320k – $355k + 25% target bonus.

Relocation available for select candidates.
