GPW Recruitment are working with an established, specialist manufacturer in St Helens to recruit a Marketing Manager on a part time basis paying £27,000 pa (pro rata £45,000 pa). In this newly created role you will report to the Managing Director with a focus on growing and developing a range of specialist manufactured products into the international defence market. Candidates are welcome from all industries; however, candidates with a qualification or experience in Chemical, Chemistry or Research and Development would be of particular interest.
Duties and responsibilities as the Marketing Manager:
- Manage all marketing activities including campaigns, events, blogs, digital marketing to translate business goals into engagement, leads and revenue.
- Develop and drive comprehensive digital plans for awareness and lead generation campaigns with KPI’s and reporting metrics to assess campaign success.
- Provide creative development and art direction for ads, campaigns and graphics that support sales objectives and build brand awareness.
- Write and oversee the creation of sales and marketing materials, press releases, presentations, social media content and website content.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices to identify opportunities to apply to business strategy and plan.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Identify and target specific campaigns for products and geographical locations within Europe and around the world.
- Lead project management for marketing initiatives.
- Act as prime driver and thought leader for development of new campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of digital marketing campaigns via tools such as Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.
Experience required for the Marketing Manager role:
- Proven experience in marketing roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WordPress.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Degree level or equivalent in Marketing or related subject.
- Proven record of effective communication, capable of articulating complex topics and subject matter.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
As the Marketing Manager you will receive:
- Salary £27,000 pa for a 3 day week (full time equivalent £45,000)

- Bonus scheme based on individual contribution and company profitability, paid at Directors discretion.
