A growing electrical engineering business is seeking an experienced Electrical Sales Engineer to support the continued expansion of its Electrical Division. This role is ideal for someone with a background in electrical controls, control panels, automation, refrigeration, HVAC or building services, who enjoys working closely with customers to deliver technical solutions.
You will be responsible for generating enquiries, preparing technical quotations, and converting opportunities into profitable projects across OEMs, system integrators, contractors and end users.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities within industrial, building services, refrigeration and automation markets
- Promote and sell electrical control panels, PLC control systems, upgrades, retrofits and automation solutions
- Work with OEMs, contractors, system integrators and end users to deliver technical electrical solutions
- Meet customers on-site to understand control system, HVAC, refrigeration or building services requirements
- Prepare technical quotations and proposals aligned with customer specifications
- Follow up quotations and manage the sales pipeline through CRM systems
- Negotiate pricing, terms and commercial agreements
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure solutions are technically achievable
- Build long-term customer relationships and provide technical product support
- Attend site visits, industry exhibitions and networking events
- Electrical sales, technical sales, or applications engineering
- Control panels, PLC systems, electrical controls or automation
- Refrigeration systems, HVAC, BMS, RDM or building services
- Industrial electrical equipment or automation components
- Working with OEMs, system integrators, contractors or project-based engineering environments
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and control panels
- Ability to read or understand electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Confident presenting technical solutions to customers
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary up to £65,000
- Bonus structure (linked to company performance)
- £700–£850 monthly car allowance
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
