OTE: ~£70,000/year| UK-WideRole Location Flexible|

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Crew Leader to lead transformer installation, maintenance, and refurbishment works on National Grid substations across the UK. This is a hands-on leadership role, working on high-voltage (HV) projects with full responsibility for site safety, quality, and productivity.

The Role

• Supervise and coordinate crews on transformer installation, maintenance, and repairs

• Ensure full compliance with National Grid safety procedures and site standards

• Manage permits to work, site documentation, and quality records

• Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure correct PPE/tool usage

• Liaise with project managers, clients, and technical teams

• Undertake hands-on work when required

What Were Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience working on National Grid or other high-voltage substation sites

• SSSTS or SMSTS

• National Grid Persons

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Willingness to travel nationwide with overnight stays

Desirable:

• Strong technical background in transformers and substation equipment

• Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
