About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Robotics Technician to join a cutting-edge team focused on robotics research and development. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of a robotics fleet and AI data-collection systems. Your work will directly support high-quality dataset generation for machine learning and robotics experimentation.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience operating robotic systems or automated hardware setups.
- Familiarity with data-collection workflows for machine learning or robotics.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and Linux environments.
- Basic programming skills in Python or C++ (preferred).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain continuous uptime of robotic systems and AI data-collection platforms through proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
- Configure and calibrate robotic systems for data-collection runs, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Support data-collection experiments alongside engineers and researchers.
- Manage dataset collection, verification, labelling, and organised storage for machine learning workflows.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status and system performance.
- Implement best practices for safety, efficiency, and standardisation.
- Schedule and prioritise resources to optimise experiment throughput.
