A great opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator to support UK, European, and export customers within a busy manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll process orders, prepare export documentation, coordinate transport, and maintain strong customer relationships. You'll work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and service quality.
What you'll do:
- Process UK, European, and export sales orders accurately and issue timely order confirmations
- Prepare transport and shipping documentation in line with ADR, IMDG, IATA and other regulatory requirements
- Respond to customer enquiries professionally and within agreed timescales
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned regions
- Plan deliveries efficiently, considering consolidation opportunities and customer requirements
- Maintain consignment stock records and ensure accurate monthly invoicing
- Keep customer systems and internal databases updated with accurate information
- Liaise with hauliers and suppliers, negotiating freight rates where needed
- Provide cover for colleagues during absence, including inbox management
- Support sales managers with samples, reports, brochures, forecasting and basic quotations
- Ensure accurate filing, archiving, and audit readiness for order documentation
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and service delivery
What you'll bring:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
- Experience in UK and export order processing within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of export/shipping documentation requirements
- MIEX (Grad) qualification or willingness to undertake a trade diploma
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to analyse information, solve problems and work logically
- Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams
Nice to have:
- Fluency in an additional European language
- Experience working with EPICOR or similar ERP systems
- Logistics planning or freight negotiation experience
- Knowledge of international trade regulations
