Experienced Account Manager required for a successful and established specialist design led manufacturing business based in Oldham. The company manufactures a range of bespoke niche products into retail spaces and is a people focused Investors in People Platinum Award organisation, proving a commitment to supporting their staff in becoming the very best that they can be.
As the Account Manager, you will support the sales team overseeing all sales order processing through to generating invoices, communicating with customers, developing and maintaining the CRM database and generating weekly reports. The Account Manager reports to the Sales Director and liaises with the sales team to communicate project status with other account managers and customers, ultimately contributing to building profitable, long-term relationships with clients to reach business objectives.
It would be beneficial for the Account Manager to have a manufacturing, retail or design background rather than hard sales skills.
Summary of responsibilities:- Processing sales orders, run delivery notes and generate invoices.
- Gathering information on existing clients and potential new clients (e.g., searching contacts, company size and potential requirements).
- Acting as the first point of contact with existing customers, answering their queries, confirming delivery dates and supporting account managers with projects.
- Travelling to clients for face-to-face meetings and surveys to build strong, long-term relationships.
- Developing/maintaining CRM database.
- Weekly reports on sales activity and status of accounts.
- Experience of sales, strong customer communication (written and verbal) and effective interaction with stakeholders across departments.
- Enthusiastic, honest, and respectful with a supportive attitude.
- Good time management skills and problem-solving attitude.
- Motivated and dependable individual with excellent communication skills.
- Able to perform calmly under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
On offer: Basis salary to Β£35,000 pa (depending on experience), Bonus, 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Quarterly incentives, RR Scheme. Based in the office 4 days with 1 day working from home, the working hours are 37.5 per week, with flexi time worked as follows: Start from 8am-9.15am, Finish from 4pm-5.15pm. Full hours need to be completed each day and Friday is the same.
