Start date: ASAP

Warehouse Operator required in Knowsley Industrial Park, for a specialist manufacturer. Please note if successful; you will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. You’ll need counterbalance and Reach FLT licences, although Reach is the more important licence required. Working hours are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday and it pays £13.24 per hour (plus £1.59 per hour holiday pay). The plan is to work 12 weeks through GPW as an agency worker then become permanent with the client.

Job Purpose:

  • To work under the direction of the Warehouse Manager with warehouse colleagues to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock and delivery of high-quality service to all customers.

Duties include:

  • Receipt of goods, picking and packing customer orders, despatch outgoing orders applying OTIF principles, as well as ensuring standards and compliance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Undertake receipt and checking of all incoming stock in line with company goods in process and product is correctly located within the warehouse.
  • Ensure that all incoming goods are received, unloaded and booked into stock and that all records are completed in line with the company procedures.
  • Pick customer orders (including product identification and pallet build), undertaking all necessary controls ensuring all Priority disciplines are complied with as appropriate, making available for dispatch.
  • Ensure all stock is handled and transported securely.
  • Labelling and scanning product for shipment on carrier.
  • Loading and off-loading goods in a safe manner.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
  • Book all materials into stock before transferring them physically.
  • Loading goods that are booked for transport ensuring that all relevant paperwork is attached.
  • Picking, booking in and transferring of all inventory in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that only right inventory and right quantity is being despatched.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in safe condition.
  • Complete all relevant warehouse documentation correctly.
  • Ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Warehouse.
  • Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management.
  • Completion of tasks assigned in a timely and safe manner.
  • Completion of FLT daily check lists.
