Production Operators required in Knowsley Industrial Park, L33 to start ASAP. These roles are temp to perm, initially 12 weeks then permanent.

We will be running an assessment centre this Friday the 12th June. This will involve a standard interview and a practical. If successful, all candidates will be required to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test before commencing employment.

The Production Operator roles are working in an industrial chemical environment. It’s a safe place to work but some areas are a more industrial/dusty type environment. In the role, you will assist with the completion of tasks within the production area. This will include cleaning, packaging, and the operation of equipment through supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with H&S and Environment procedures
  • Report any production issues to the Shift Manager and/or the Lead Operator
  • Participate in Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Ensure the equipment is fit for purpose and our product quality standards are met
Requirements/qualifications for the job:
  • Experience in extrusion desirable, or working with colour pigments and carbons preferred but not essential.
  • Working in teams and operating large scale machinery to very specific conditions, ensuring that a safe working environment and industry standards are maintained at all times.
  • As part of the production team, you will be required to lift and pack 25kg bags, clean down machinery as well as run the machines.

The rates and shifts are as follows:
  • Role 1 - 37.5 hours per week, rotating 3-shift pattern paying £13.84 per hour. Working Monday to Friday 6.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., 2.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., 10.30 p.m. to 6.30 a.m.
  • Role 2 - 37.5 hours per week average – rolling continental shift pattern paying £14.72 per hour. Working 2 days, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., then 2 nights, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., then 4 days off.
