GPW Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for x2 qualified construction setting out engineers in the North West of England. Our client is a well-established but ever-growing construction business, with contracts in both the public and private sector, boasting some of the UK’s biggest names as retained clients.

We are looking for a career-focused individual, with some level of construction experience. The successful candidate must be willing to learn from highly experienced and knowledgeable senior site members with a view towards regular career progression. This role offers genuine career progression and is looked at as a long-term investment.

General Duties:
  • Shadowing and supporting senior site engineers.
  • General setting out duties.
  • Assisting with the monitoring of the works quality - reporting any faults or indiscretions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain well-detailed records of setting out, surveying activities, for example drawings, reports, calculations.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work closely with project managers, contract managers & architects to ensure the project targets are met.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, or a HNC degree is essential.
  • 1-5 years site experience, whether this be a university placement or employment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS Qualification (preferred but not essential).
