This is an opportunity to apply for an Evaluation Technician role within the Quality Evaluation Department in Halewood Transmission Plant which will be supporting ICE transmissions and E-Drive Assemblies. FHTL Employment Benefits * Free on-site gym facility inclusive of a sauna & steam room (outside of working hours). * Employee assistance programmes: weekly appointments available for all employees to utilise for free such as massages, circuit classes, nutrition advise, yoga, chiropody, reiki and head massages (outside of working hours). * An on-site physiotherapy and occupational health department is available to employees to support their health and well-being. * Competitive pension scheme (company pays 1.5 times the amount of the employee contributions paying up to 12%) * £750 annual attendance bonus (subject to company T&C’s). * Access Ford\’s Privilege scheme – allowing you to purchase Ford vehicles at a discount * An excellent work-life balance, including a generous holiday allowance of 25 days (inclusive of set shutdown dates) * Cycle to Work Scheme Qualifications and Experience: • Must have completed an Apprenticeship in Mechanical / Vehicle repairs (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) • General computer literacy using company systems • User knowledge of Microsoft excel & access database applications • Valid driving license • Prior knowledge of transmission function & teardown would be an advantage • Effective communication skills • Highly motivated and self-driven with innovation skills • Proven ability to work in a Team • Good understanding of 5 S and workplace organization • FLT / Work saver experience • Willing to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach towards change • Knowledge of vehicle repairs would be an advantage • Willing to Learn how to De-energise and Energise Electric Vehicles Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Teardown transmissions & Edrives for investigations – EOL/FTT, APR, Warranty • Rebuild transmissions ready for further investigations – Bench, EOL or In-Vehicle • Function Test transmissions on the Bench • Fit transmissions into vehicles • Remove transmissions • Carryout In-vehicle evaluation of transmission in accordance with the Engineering Test Specifications • Represent the Company on drive appraisal events at Customer locations • Support Transmission dirt content as per schedule • Carry out torque calibration in line with Plant schedule • Inspection activity to support Transport Delivery Loss (TDL) • Ensure that all activity records are update accordingly • Ensure high standard of workplace organisation/5 S • CIW warranty claim Binning • Edrive Teardowns • Assembly of Edrive‘s to Electric vehicles • Carry out in vehicle Evaluation of power Units in electric Vehicles in accordance of ES Test Specifications Work Pattern is Shifts: 3-Shift Working days are Monday – Friday (weekend work & overtime subject to business needs) The plant currently operates days and a 3-shift pattern explained below. Working Hours (day shift) Monday – Thursday 7am – 15.30pm Fridays 7am – 12.30pm OR 3-shift: Earlies Monday: 6.30am- 3pm Tuesday – Thursday: 7am – 3pm Friday: 7am – 12pm Lates Monday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm Friday: 12pm-5.30pm Nights Monday – Thursday: 11pm – 7am Friday: 5.30pm – 11pm Shift patterns can be changed based on business requirements. When working 3-shift pattern employees incur a premium for all shifts worked of 27.5% – this premium does not apply to day shift workers.
