You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and competitive project cost assessments, working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver robust proposals.Key Responsibilities:Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour, and equipment to create accurate cost estimations.Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors within set timeframes to meet project deadlines.Assessing project risks and ensuring pricing aligns with financial and operational feasibility.Preparing and submitting detailed quotations for work to be undertaken.Assisting in bids for new contracts and supporting purchasing teams in securing materials and services.Monitoring project costs at different stages to ensure they remain within estimated budgets.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPrior experience in an estimating role, ideally within power solutions, electrical contracting, or industrial engineering.Ability to read technical specifications and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates.Experience obtaining and negotiating quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers.Understanding of how to track project costs and ensure profitability.Knowledge of CAD software and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.Ability to work under pressure to meet goals, budgets, and deadlines.Strong ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.A methodical approach to pricing, assessing risks, and ensuring project profitability.Schedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, Monday
