Engineering Machinist
Radcliffe

The Opportunity
GPW Recruitment are currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in the Radcliffe area who are looking to recruit a skilled Engineering Machinist to join their on-site engineering team.
This is a hands-on role, supporting production and maintenance by manufacturing components, setting dies, and carrying out precision machining tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
The Role
As an Engineering Machinist, youll be responsible for:

Operating a wide range of machines including manual lathes, milling machines, radial drills, and vertical/horizontal machines

Manufacturing and modifying parts for breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work

Setting and adjusting dies for both manual and automatic presses

Performing blade grinding using surface grinders to precise tolerances

Reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately

Working closely with engineers and supervisors to prioritise workloads and minimise downtime
Hours & Benefits:

Full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week)

10-hour shifts:
07:00 17:00 (Monday Thursday) OR
07:00 17:00 (Tuesday Friday) -
Monthly attendance bonus

About You
Were looking for someone who is:

Apprenticeship-qualified (or equivalent experience) as a machinist

Skilled in manual machining, particularly milling and lathe work

Experienced with radial drills and vertical/horizontal machines
