GPW Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Calibration Engineer to join a leading calibration and measurement specialist based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Calibration Engineer, Metrology Engineer, Calibration Technician, or Measurement Engineer looking to join a well-established organisation operating within a UKAS-accredited environment.
Working within a professional laboratory setting, you will be responsible for the calibration of precision measuring equipment while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, UKAS requirements, and recognised industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate Force, Torque, and Dimensional measuring equipment to traceable and accredited standards.
- Produce accurate calibration certificates and maintain detailed records.
- Support UKAS surveillance and accreditation audits.
- Conduct internal laboratory audits and cross-comparison activities.
- Develop and review calibration procedures.
- Calculate and maintain measurement uncertainty budgets.
- Assist with the maintenance and verification of laboratory standards.
- Provide technical support to colleagues and customers where required.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company procedures.
