We are recruiting an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a regulated industrial processing facility. This is a senior, site-based leadership role with full accountability for production, health & safety, environmental compliance, maintenance, and people management. You will act as the site's Technically Competent Manager, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations while driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site operations, including production, maintenance, warehousing, and material logistics.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Act as the responsible person on site for environmental management and reporting.
- Drive operational efficiency through OEE performance management and process optimisation.
- Own site budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Lead maintenance planning, engineering projects, shutdowns, and process outages.
- Recruit, train, develop, and performance-manage site teams.
- Produce monthly operational, safety, environmental, and performance reports.
- Champion a strong safety culture and high standards of housekeeping.
- Provide site leadership support for emergencies and critical issues.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering or technical degree (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing, processing, or waste management environment.
- WAMITAB Level 4 (or equivalent technically competent qualification).
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience managing people, budgets, and operational performance.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
