Location: Haydock

Pay Rate: 14.50 - 15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Breaks: 30-minute lunch break plus two paid 15-minute breaks

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join a busy and well-established workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled craftsperson who takes pride in producing high-quality bespoke joinery products and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working from detailed technical drawings, you will be responsible for manufacturing a range of bespoke timber products to exact specifications, ensuring exceptional standards of workmanship throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture bespoke joinery items including doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, furniture, and other timber products.
  • Read and interpret detailed CAD drawings, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber components accurately.
  • Operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Select and prepare suitable materials for each project.
  • Carry out laminating, assembly, and finishing work to a high standard.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
