We are currently seeking a professional site‑based Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer based at the campus of the University of Hertfordshire. The role focuses on delivery of planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding, repairs, and installations across the site. You will support and participate in an on‑call rota and occasional overtime may be requested.

Location: Hatfield, AL10 9AB

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00‑17:00 / 09:00‑18:00, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Work primarily on electrical works with flexibility to undertake non‑electrical maintenance tasks within the contract scope, including maintaining, repairing, and installing assets around the site.
  • Collaborate within a team and contribute at both individual and team levels to provide exceptional service and meet compliance standards for clients and customers.
  • Develop good working relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues, ensuring professional interaction at all times.
Skills & Experience:
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulation and other formal electrical qualifications such as Level 3.
  • Mechanical awareness, FCU & AHU maintenance tasks.
  • Water testing (L8), fire alarm testing, and general handyperson tasks.

We will provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience of working in a similar environment.
