GPS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator to manufacture high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in a wide range of metals and plastics. We are offering one position within our late shift.
The successful candidate will hold an integral role within the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing team, setting and operating a range of machining centres across the facility.
Experience and competencies:
- An experienced Programmer/Setter/Operator across Mazak and Doosan CNC machine centres, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environment
- A good working knowledge of either Fanuc or Mazatrol controls
- Good understanding of Engineering drawings and be proficient in carrying out in-process dimensional and visual checks using the appropriate measurement equipment
- Experienced in machining a wide range of metals and plastics
- Good communication with ability to relay clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers
- Work efficiently to deadlines
- Ability and willingness to mind multiple machines when required
- Confidently work with a level of autonomy and problem solve
Salary circa Β£20 per hour + 25% Shift Allowance β Realistic earning potential 50K
