GPS Recruitment are looking to speak with experienced Manufacturing supervisors in the Huddersfield area.

It’s a 4 day working week, Mon-Thurs- 6.00am-4.15pm

Role expectations:

  • Lead, motivate and develop your production team to achieve operational and performance targets.
  • Take ownership of all safety, quality, and productivity standards within your area.
  • Monitor and manage team workload, planning resources effectively to meet customer deadlines.
  • Use your experience to improve processes, reduce waste and boost efficiency.
  • Carry out regular team briefings, set individual objectives, and support performance reviews.
  • Support stock control, maintenance planning, and operational reporting.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all activities comply with EHS standards and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Be a key point of contact across the wider team - collaborating with colleagues in transport, sales, and management.

The role will be hands on and so we are looking for individuals who are fit and healthy (lifting / pushing / pulling / manual movements).

Having Supervision experience (basic job allocation / holding people to task) is key to the role. Strong organisation and communication skills (able to manage production demand / startup / close down processes & communicate effectively with others to ensure a smooth operation).
