Job Role: To carry out day to day Engineering and maintenance activities across Production facilities ensuring production equipment/machinery are maintained and serviced in order to meet output requirements. Responsibilities/Accountabilities: • Follow direction from Engineering Manager or Engineering Leader. • Guide and advise Skilled Operators and Line Leaders with queries in relation to the safe operation of plant and equipment. • Undertake duties appropriate to role as reasonably required. Maintenance: • Ensure maximum plant availability through effective response, fault finding diagnosis and repair of a wide range of plant equipment Conveyor, Elevators, Form Fill and Seals and Palletisers. • Clearly communicate all maintenance to key site contacts; Production Manager, Shift Supervisor, Engineering team colleagues as appropriate. • Assist developing planned maintenance schedules. • Follow and complete planned work schedules/instructions. • Maintain plant and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule. • Carry out installations of new plant and equipment. • Safe use of all engineering tools and equipment. • Maintain and continually review/develop Safe Systems of Work incl. implementation of appropriate Risk Assessments as appropriate. • Ensure that hazards and risks are minimised.
